About Project
Nestled amidst multiple hospitals, Tanish Residence is a serene retreat for a family of doctors seeking peace and privacy. The design revolves around an inward-looking approach, ensuring a quiet, spacious, and traditional ambiance. The central courtyard serves as the heart of the home, seamlessly connecting two blocks while allowing ample natural light and ventilation. Strategically placed windows in the east and north ensure a naturally lit and cool environment throughout the year. The house unfolds through a series of courtyards, offering framed views of lush greenery from various spaces. Locally crafted materials, including terracotta jaali, corten steel, and hand-carved teakwood, integrate traditional aesthetics with modern functionality.
