The School of Arts and Sciences at Ahmedabad University expresses diversity in its philosophy as well as in its architecture. Integrating a wide range of disciplines, the building is designed as a composition of solids and voids that enables chance encounters and shared experiences. Principal Architect Rahul Mehrotra highlights the importance of porosity in the volumes that ensure a ventilated and well-lit structure as he walks us through important spaces inside. Louvres, skylights, cut-outs, and connectivity with trees on-site further contribute to a climate-friendly built environment.
