About Project
Set in the cultural heart of Kolhapur, this Wada house reimagines the timeless charm of Maharashtrian Wada architecture by blending tradition with modern needs, creating an abode that honors the past while embracing the present. At its core lies a serene courtyard, anchored by a majestic deepmala, where light and life converge. Symmetrical layouts, spacious aangan, sloping Mangalore-tiled roofs, and intricately carved wooden columns pay homage to the essence of Wada design. Crafted from local materials like black basalt stone, the house champions climate-conscious living while supporting local artisans. Every detail, from arched jharokhas to rhythmic entryways, reflects a deep respect for heritage. This Wada house in Kolhapur is more than a residence- it’s a sanctuary where culture, family, and timeless design come together to create an enduring legacy.
