About Project
Walking down streets in the city means putting your safety at risk. Getting hurt by fast-moving vehicles or losing balance on a broken footpath is an experience shared by all city-zens. Indian urban design is lacking when it comes to walkability, legibility and creating safe spaces.
Architects at Studio Pod designed a model street in one of the busiest areas of Mumbai. The street design sees everyone as human and does not discriminate through caste, class or gender, successfully creating a vibrant neighborhood.
One Green Mile project has reclaimed public space and given it back to the Mumbaikars. Wide footpaths, safe crossing and a vibrant ‘under the flyover’ park are few highlights of the project.
