About Project
Nestled in a quiet Bengaluru neighbourhood, Avinya is a 1,500 sq.ft. residence that redefines compact urban living. Designed by Architecture Saga for a family of four, the home sits on a modest 30’ x 50’ east-facing plot that opens onto a serene park, with a towering Spathodea tree marking its entrance. The design draws from Bangalore’s Garden City legacy, translating nostalgia into a refined spatial experience.
The architectural approach focuses on openness, natural light, and layered textures. A curved metal staircase acts as a central sculptural element, subtly separating the living and dining spaces while enhancing visual flow. Expansive fenestrations, skylights, and balconies infuse the home with daylight, blurring the boundaries between indoors and outdoors. Materials like marble, wood, and textured paint are used to add warmth and sophistication, while fluted glass, wooden screens, and rounded walls introduce softness and depth to the interiors.
