Veeraj P Shet- Principal architect at Veerajshetdesignstudio with Bachelor's in Architecture from RVCA, hails from Virajpet, Coorg. The development of a design vocabulary for me attributes to design sensibilities of Tropical climates with a hue of contemporary functionalities that compliment contextual, cultural and environmental aspects of the design. I seek joy and pick clues in the process of design as it adds in a great value to the brief of conception. The projects of this infant of a studio, span right from Bengaluru to the coastal stretch of Karnataka. This journey in itself brings in a vivid nature to the flow of work at the studio. The concept of building in itself is a conception to shield oneself. We believe in designing these shields with much respect to the contextual parameters like culture, climate and immediate environment that enhances the experience of the user. Nature being our prime inspiration, we emphasize to travel and study the relationship between the built and the unbuilt aspects in the Nature. This forms the process and carves out a route to our designs. Our vocabulary of design is just not solving problems but to create experiences and enrich essence of life to the users.
