CAPTIVATING ENTRANCE

The brief was pretty straightforward — to craft a luxurious villa with a sum total of five bedrooms to be incorporated.

The entrance is an exquisite blend of green landscaping and stone, coupled with exposed concrete blocks and lush plantations that lead up to the main porch, offering a feast for the eyes. A double-height courtyard featuring a customised grill and plants, opens up the space, making it appear expansive and pleasant. Flanked on the other side is the car park with space to house three cars.

This space additionally features a balcony that overlooks the garden from the first floor. The house uses geometries to try and create an interesting play of light and shadows, and a drama of masses and voids.

The upper floor is where the daughter’s bedroom, a guest bedroom, the gym and the home theatre are located. On this floor are the two balconies — one facing inwards onto the green courtyard and the other one offers a vista of the exterior.
